There is no other town in Italy that has hosted so many chess events in so few years.
Italian, European, World institutional events but also weekend and international festivals, seminarsof the Olympic teams, groupings of the team championships. A real big feast of chess that broughtthousands of people to Acqui to play chess and, of course, the name of Acqui around the world through chess media and generalist media.
Non c'è altra città in Italia che abbia ospitato così tanti eventi scacchistici in così pochi anni. Eventi istituzionali italiani, europei e mondiali, ma anche festival del fine settimana e internazionali, seminari delle squadre olimpiche, raggruppamenti dei campionati a squadre. Una vera e propria grande festa degli scacchi che ha portato migliaia di persone ad Acqui per giocare e, naturalmente, ha fatto conoscere il nome di Acqui in tutto il mondo attraverso i media scacchistici e generalisti.

The City of Chiavenna is sponsoring two brilliancy prizes at the ECU Senior Chess Championship 2026 in Acqui Terme: one for over 50 and one for over 65.
The "Chiavenna 2026" brilliancy prizes are awarded by Ramesh R.B. and his White Bishop Staff, and each prize entitles a free registration to the International Chess Training Camp Chiavenna 2026, which can be used for the Level Up (value €400) or the FIDE Trainer (value €300).
To be eligible for the prize, players must report their most worthy game to the arbiters' table by the end of the 7th round.
The winners will be notified directly at the Championship awards ceremony, and, in addition to the free registration, they will receive a commemorative plaque.
There are two prizes up for grabs: Over 50 and Over 65, and they are non-transferable.
Participants are responsible for their own accommodations during the training.

I premi bellezza “Chiavenna 2026” vengono assegnati da Ramesh R.B. con il suo Staff di Alfiere Bianco, e danno diritto ognuno ad un’iscrizione gratuita all’ International Chess Training Camp Chiavenna 2026, utilizzabile per il Level Up (valore € 400) oppure per il FIDE Trainer (valore € 300).
Per concorrere all’assegnazione del premio i giocatori devono segnalare la partita che ritengono meritevole al tavolo degli arbitri entro la fine del 7° turno di gioco.
L’aggiudicazione del premio sarà comunicata direttamente ai vincitori alla cerimonia di premiazione del Campionato e, oltre all’iscrizione gratuita, riceveranno una Targa ricordo.
I premi in palio sono due: Over 50 e Over 65 e non sono cedibili a terzi.
Il soggiorno durante il Training è a carico dei partecipanti.
